• As a follow-up to En Iniya Iyanthira, Indian author Sujatha wrote Meendum Jeeno (English: The Return of Jeeno) in Tamil in 1987. Before its debut, many people believed Rajini's movie Enthiran was inspired by these two books.
• The story in the completed Tamil novel goes that, without the public's knowledge, Ravi and Mano have seized control of Jeeva's dictatorship and are now governing the nation through his holographic image. They crown Nila as queen of the new kingdom because she is the most beautiful woman. However, Ravi and Mano actually run the entire government, with Nila serving as her nominal regent. Nila's robot companion Jeano assists her in finding her husband and, thanks to a self-learning mechanism, reveals a number of truths about the current circumstance.
