• On the last day of Navratri, Saraswati Pooja is done to respect and revere the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. She is the deity of learning, music, and the creative arts.
•  She is credited with bestowing upon people the powers of speech, wisdom, and education. The four hands of Saraswati represent the four learning-related facets of human personality: intellect, attentiveness, mind, and ego.
•  She is holding the lotus, a representation of real wisdom, with one hand. She is holding holy texts in her other hand. Saraswati plays the stringed instrument veena with her other two hands while she sings and plays the music of life and love.
•  When it is time to worship the Goddess Saraswati, the temples are decorated with spring flowers, worshippers wear yellow to signify the start of spring, and books are placed at her feet to receive her blessings.
•  On Vasant Panchami, the fifth day of spring, Saraswati Puja is celebrated to welcome the new season and honour the Goddess by reciting the Saraswati Pooja, a hymn that bears her name.
•  Numerous students participate in this puja in order to receive blessings of wisdom and knowledge as they continue their studies. Saraswati devotees also ask for blessings for spirituality, harmony, and purity as well as for success in all spheres of life.
•  Even though Saraswati Puja occurs in the spring, anyone can worship Saraswati whenever they require prosperity and intelligence.
•  This hindu spiritual book contains verses in bold Tamil for ease of reciting.
