The Story of Araku Maligai from the Mahabharata:
During the time of the Mahabharata, the Pandavas and Kauravas were in a period of exile. Duryodhana, one of the Kaurava brothers, devised a plan to eliminate the Pandavas. He built a palace in the city of Varanavata known as the Lakshagriha, which was made primarily of lacquer or highly flammable material.
Duryodhana invited the Pandavas to stay in the Lakshagriha, intending to set it on fire and kill them. However, the Pandavas, with the help of their uncle Vidura, became suspicious of Duryodhana's intentions. Vidura sent a message to the Pandavas, warning them of the danger. Acting upon the warning, the Pandavas built a tunnel from the palace to escape the imminent fire.
To deceive the Kauravas, the Pandavas faked their own deaths by leaving behind charred bodies in the palace. Believing that the Pandavas had perished, Duryodhana and his brothers celebrated their apparent victory.
The episode of the Lakshagriha, also known as the ""House of Lacquer,"" is a crucial turning point in the Mahabharata, as it marks the beginning of the Pandavas' journey towards reclaiming their kingdom and seeking justice.
