If the moon is wrongly placed in one’s Jataka (birth-chart), then one should adorn a mala of Sphatika. Pure Sphatika is transparent and it correspondingly brings about a greater clarity of thoughts and boosts the memory.

If someone is intrigued by unnecessary financial difficulties, Sphatika can bring the grace of Shukra upon the wearer.

If the work accomplished does not receive credit or if it does not reward suitably, then one can establish himself in the society and get the due share of fame and recognition by adorning a Sphatika Mala. Alternately, if people oversee the favors that one may have done for them or if one feels that he is unreasonably confronted with unfavorable situations, adorning a Sphatika Mala can be particularly useful.

Adorning a Sphatika Mala on a Friday after chanting ‘Om Dharam dhreem dhroom sah shukraaya namaha’, and doing 108 Japa (ritualistic recitations) of the mantra is beneficial. In this mala, the bead attached to the tassel is called Sumeru or the crown bead, and the mala is often used to keep count while chanting the mantra. When this is used for prayers, one counts all beads starting from the first bead adjacent to Sumeru. On reaching the 108th bead, one stops and counts in reverse. The Sumeru bead is the Guru bead and should not be used for counting.

If one adorns any gemstone, birthstone, he could adorn Sphatika mala along with the same because Sphatika Mala has no side effects, and can be adorned along with all gemstones.
