• Annamalaiyar is another name for Lord Shiva, who is worshipped in the Arunachaleswarar Temple located in the town of Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Shiva is worshiped as Arunachalesvara or Annamalaiyar and is represented by the lingam, with his idol referred to as the Agni lingam. His consort, Parvati, is depicted as Unnamalai Amman or Apithakucha Ambal.
•  This golu doll is a representation of the Annamalaiyar statue, which shows Lord Shiva in Lingam form with his consort Parvati.
  • Golu is a South Indian festival celebrated during the time of Navaratri, featuring a set of steps decorated with golu bommais of various shapes and sizes. The Golu doll is not just a sight to behold; it's a storyteller too. It narrates tales of tradition and spirituality.
•  The legend behind the Annamalaiyar Shiva: Parvati, wife of Shiva, once closed her husband's eyes, causing all light to be taken from the universe and the earth to be submerged in darkness for years. Parvati performed penance, and her husband appeared as a huge column of fire at the top of Annamalai hills, returning light to the world.
•  The Annamalai temple is also famous for the Kartikai Deepam festival, which is celebrated in honor of Lord Shiva and is marked by the lighting of a huge fire on the top of the Arunachala hill.
•  Annamalaiyar Unnamalai is a traditional Kolu bommai crafted with clay.
•  Decorate your Kolu Padi with this unique collection of Golu bommai for this Navarathri from GiriAus .
•  This Dassara doll is an ideal present for festivals like Navaratri, Diwali, and housewarmings.
•  During Navaratri, people visit each other's homes to see the Golu display and offer prayers. It is considered an auspicious time to seek blessings from the Divine and to celebrate the victory of good over evil.
•  This doll stands apart from the usual golu doll because it is painted in vivid, rich colors with a different composition and definition.
