Brass kuthu villaku annapakshi nagas refer to a traditional form of brass lamps found in South India, particularly in the state of Tamil Nadu. The purpose is to provide a soothing light to highlight the features of the deity placed in the Pooja room. Within the lamp, numerous wicks or thiris can be held separately. The lamp looks like several diyas have lit up at once. Positivity and wealth are drawn into the home when an oil lamp is lit.
• The term "kuthu villaku" refers to the traditional design of the lamp, which is characterised by a tall stem and a wide, round base.
• These lamps are made of heavy brass and are heat resistant, making them suitable for daily use. A beautiful and well-crafted Annapakshi Bird has pride of place at the top of the Vilakku.
• It has seven sides where the wick or thiri can be placed. The wick's or thiri's round base is deep enough to hold enough oil to keep it burning for a long time. The elaborately made vilakku can be disassembled for simple storage. The stand for the Vilakku is strong and well-made.
• The term "nagas" refers to the design of the lamp's handle, which is typically shaped like a serpent. The serpent is a sacred symbol in Hinduism and is often associated with the God Shiva.
• Can be used in the puja room for daily puja.
• Creates a lovely piece of interior décor.
• Makes a wonderful and considerate gift.
• Made of Brass, it is easy to clean and maintain.
