• Pradosha Sivan, sometimes referred to as Pradosham or Pradosha Vratam, is an important Hindu festival honouring Lord Shiva. A precise hour during the evening twilight known as ""pradosha"" is referred to as being favourable for Lord Shiva's devotion.
• Pradosha happens twice a month during the waxing (Shukla Paksha) and waning (Krishna Paksha) phases of the moon, which correspond to the dates in the Hindu calendar. Pradosha is observed because it is said that Lord Shiva's heavenly grace is abundantly available at this time, and doing so is seen as very virtuous.
• Pradosha is observed by devotees through unique rituals, prayers, and offerings to Lord Shiva.
• In order to receive Lord Shiva's blessings, devotees also present other sacred goods, including milk, honey, curd, flowers, and bilva leaves.
• Pradosha is significant because it is said that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are especially benevolent and accessible during this time, ready to bestow blessings and grant devotees' wishes. It is thought that devotedly observing Pradosha Vratam can improve the spirit, remove barriers, and provide prosperity and well-being.
• Shiva worshippers widely observe Pradosha Sivan, especially in South India. During these fortunate seasons, a lot of Lord Shiva temples hold special Pradosha rituals and festivals that draw a lot of worshippers.
